Short dialogue from the movie 2010: The Year We Make Contact, a sequel to 2001: A Space Odyssey, between SAL (HAL's sister) and Dr. Chandra, a computer scientist, inspired this piece: \n \n \n \n*SAL 9000: \"Will I dream?\"*\n\n*Dr. Chandra: \"Of course you will. All intelligent creatures dream. Nobody knows why. Perhaps you will dream of  HAL, just as I often do\".*  \n\n  \n\nSo, if computers can dream, what would they dream of? \nI'm returning to dream archetypes, which I briefly touched upon then.
